| Check and adjustment of backlashes of valves spend the engine is cold (coolant temperature 21 ? C) and a cylinder head mounted on the cylinder block. |
| - Remove the engine cover.
|
| - Remove the cover from the oil filler cap.
|
- Remove the screws and remove the central cover.
| - Remove the top casing of a gear belt.
- Remove the mounting bolts of the upper toothed belt and remove it.
|
- Remove the cylinder head cover.
- Disconnect the high-voltage wires, it does not apply to them considerable effort.
- Disconnect the hose from the cylinder head crankcase ventilation.
- Disconnect the cylinder head accelerator cable.
- Remove the cover bolts and remove the cylinder head cover and the gasket.
| At applying significant effort or bending of high-voltage wires may damage the central core wire. |
| - Set the piston in the first cylinder to the top dead center in the compression stroke.
- Turn the crankshaft clockwise and align the notch on the pulley with the mark ?T? on the bottom casing of a gear belt.
|
| b. Check that the hole on the camshaft pulley is aligned with the mark on the bearing cover, otherwise, turn the crankshaft one revolution (360 ?).
|
- Check valve clearances.
- Check valve clearances only shown in the figure (the piston in the first cylinder is set to TDC in the compression stroke).
- Feeler gauge, measure the clearance between the shim and the base of the pusher cam camshaft.
- Record the measured gap. This value is necessary to calculate the Buda required thickness of the shim.
Valve clearance (coolant temperature 20 ? C): - Inlet valves: 0.20 mm; - Exhaust valves: 0.28 mm.
Valve clearance (coolant temperature 80 ? C): - Inlet valves: 0.29 mm; - Exhaust valves: 0.34 mm.
Maximum permissible valve clearance: - Inlet valves: 0,12-0,28 mm; - Exhaust valves: 0,20-0,36 mm.
| b. Rotate the crankshaft one revolution (360 ?) clockwise and align the notch on the pulley with the mark ?T? on the bottom casing of a gear belt.
|
| c. Check valve clearances only shown in the figure (the piston in the first cylinder is set to TDC in the compression stroke).
|
- Feeler gauge, measure the clearance between the shim and the base of the pusher cam camshaft.
- Record the measured gap. This value will be required to calculate the required thickness of the shim.
| - Adjust clearance intake and exhaust valves.
- Rotate the crankshaft so that the contour of the cam on the camshaft adjustable valve facing up.
|
| b. Special tools (09 220 - 2D000) Click on the valve lifter, insert the stopper between the camshaft and the pusher and remove the special tool.
|
| c. Or a small screwdriver, remove the magnet shim.
|
d. Micrometer, measure the thickness of the removed shim. e. Calculate the new thickness of the shim so that the valve clearance is within a predetermined value.
Valve clearance (coolant temperature 20 ? C) T: Thickness of removed shim A: Measured valve clearance N: The thickness of the new shim The intake valves: N T = (A - 0.20 mm) The exhaust valves: N = T (A - 0.28 mm) f. Select a new shim with thickness closest to the calculated value.
| As the parts are supplied shims 20 sizes with a thickness of 2.00 mm to 2.76 mm and a pitch of 0.04 mm. |
g. Install the new shim to the valve tappet. h. Special tools (09 220 - 2D000) Click on the valve lifter and remove the stopper. i. Recheck the valve clearance.
Valve clearance (coolant temperature 20 ? C): - Inlet valves: 0.20 mm; - Exhaust valves: 0.28 mm.
Maximum permissible valve clearance: - Inlet valves: 0,17-0,23 mm; - Exhaust valves: 0.25-0.31 mm.
