Toothed belt
Withdrawal Engines 1.6 liter Engines 2.0 / 1.8 L
Check Pulleys, pulley mechanism of a tension of a gear belt and idler pulley | - Check the pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft, pulley tensioner and idler pulley to the absence of uneven wear, cracks or damage. Replace them as necessary.
- Check the ease and smoothness of rotation of the pulley tensioner and idler pulley, and the absence of background noise during rotation. Replace them as necessary.
| - Replace pulleys if there is leakage of the lubricant.
|
|
|
Toothed belt | - Check the toothed belt for traces of oil, water or dust. If you need to replace the belt. Slight traces should be wiped with a dry cloth or paper. Do not clean the timing belt solvent.
- After repair of the engine or adjust the tension of the belt, check the belt. In the presence of these defects, replace the timing belt.
| ??? Strong bend toothed belt or change its direction of rotation. ??? Do not allow oil and grease coming into contact with a toothed belt, as it will lead to its destruction. |
|
|
Description | Defect | 1. Rigid back surface of the toothed belt | | The surface has a glossy appearance. The rigidity of the surface is such that the nail does not leave traces on the belt
|
| 2. Cracks in the back surface of the toothed belt | | 3. Cracks or bundle toothed belt | | 4. Badly worn teeth | | Worn side of the tooth, thus becoming visible fiber cord and rubber base
|
| 5. Badly worn teeth (last stage) | | Worn side of the tooth, thus becoming visible scrapes and reduce the thickness of the tooth
|
| 6. Cracks in the bottom of the teeth | | 7. Lack of tooth | | 8. Heavy wear one side of the belt | | Normal belt should have a smooth side face as if trimmed with a sharp knife
|
| 9. The cracks on the side of the toothed belt | |
Setting Engines 1,8 and 2,0 l Engines 1.6 liter | | - Install the plug and the crankshaft pulley as shown. Pay attention to the direction of their installation torque: 140-150 N ??? m.
|
- Install the camshaft pulley and fix a bolt, having tightened its demanded moment. Torque: 80-100 N ??? m.
- Set the guide roller and fix a bolt, having tightened its demanded moment. Torque: 43-55 N ??? m.
| - Combine adjusting labels on pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft with pointers, and the first cylinder should be set at TDC on the compression stroke.
| | - When installing the timing belt tensioner in the first set tension mechanism, spring and spacer. Temporarily tighten the bolts. Then, temporarily tighten the tensioner by inserting a bolt in the elongated hole. Set the rear end of the leaf spring opposite to the front cover, as shown.
| | - Fix the tension mechanism allotted to the water pump.
| | - Install the timing belt on the crankshaft pulley.
| | - Install the timing belt on the camshaft pulley, making sure that it is possible slack side tension.
| |
|
|
|
- Tighten the tensioning mechanism.
- Turn clockwise crankshaft one turn and align the label on a pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft with the index on the engine block. Check that the mark on the camshaft pulley is aligned with the pointer on the cylinder head cover. Tightening torque bolts tightening mechanism: 20-27 N ??? m
| - Recheck the toothed belt tension. By clicking on the stretched branch of the toothed belt 49 N force toothed belt should cave in to the center of the head bolts tightening mechanism.
| | - Install the timing belt covers. Torque: 8.10 N ??? m.
| |
- Install the crankshaft pulley. Ensure that the crankshaft pin enters the hole of the pulley. Torque: 140-150 N ??? m.
- Install the drive belt of the fan and adjust its tension.
- Install the water pump pulley.
- Install poly V-belt and adjust its tension.
