Fuel pressure in the high pressure accumulator (RPS)

The sensor measures the instantaneous fuel pressure in the high pressure accumulator and transmits the ECM.

Fuel under pressure through the orifice acts on the diaphragm of the sensor on which the sensor element (semiconductor device). converting pressure into an electric signal. Through the contacts of the connector and an electrical circuit generated and amplified signal is transferred to ECU.

Sensor Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If the output voltage of the sensor RPS is not correct, replace the sensor.
  2. Replace the sensor with the following requirements.
    1. if the sensor is reinstalled, replace the sealing washer made of soft metal;
    2. when removing the seal, do not damage the sealing surface;
    3. When installing the sensor, apply the sealing washer a little lubricant;
    4. Tightening torque: 35 ? 2 N ??? m.
