Removal and installation of a cable drive of the top hatch

| - Remove the trim hatch (see. Section Removing and installing trim panels cover the upper hatch).
- Otboltite guide plate (1) and pull forward, release the wire from the guide tube (3).
- Click on the transfer hatch in reclined position and wait until the cable (5) is out of gear, - if necessary, resort to emergency methods lead hatch (see. Section Controls and interior equipment). If you release the cable fails, the actuator must be disassembled and remove guide tube (3).
- Before installation, lubricate the end of the new cable with a suitable lubricant (001 981 14 51). Ensure completeness charging cable in the guide tube (3), - guide plate (4) shall enter into the opening of the tube.
- Seek professional help Mercedes-Benz service stations to carry out the basic setting procedure of the drive cable.
- Install the remaining components is made in the reverse order of their removal.
