Removing and installing the front wings

| - Open the hood and put it in a vertical position (see. Section Removal and installation of the hood).
- Remove the front grille (see. Section Removal and installation of the front grille).
- Remove the headlight assembly (see chap. Onboard electric equipment).
- Remove wheel arch locker protection (1).
- Remove the vacuum receiver drive differential lock (left wing).
- On models 463,323 remove fluid reservoir Windshield washer (left wing).
- Remove the bolts (3) and remove the air intake grille (2) (463,323 models only on the right wing).
- Remove the drain hose (4).
- Remove the bolts (8) and remove the air intakes (5 and 6) (on models 463.3223 only on the right wing).
- Remove the screws (10) and remove the wing of the air intake (9) (on models 463.3223 only on the right wing).
- Loosen the bolt (11) securing the duct to the wheel arch (on models 463.3223 only on the right wing).
- Remove the turn signal (see chap. Onboard electric equipment), - on models 463.246 (AMG) further disunite wiring connector (E6 / E6 or 3/4) of the respective position lamp.
- On models corresponding complete (EF4 codes and ET4) remove the antenna navigation system GPS (A2 / 23) - only on the left wing.
- Remove protection crankcase.
- At a corresponding complete set remove the boot engine compartment (see. Section Removal and installation of anther engine compartment complete AMG).
- Remove the bolts (14) and remove the cover (13).
- Remove the crossmember front end (15).
- Remove coolant expansion tank (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning) - Only the right wing.
- Remove the resonator chamber with a water reservoir (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust) - Only the right wing.
- On models 463,250, remove the antenna splitter (only the right wing) and, without disconnecting the antenna cable, take him aside.
- Remove the tank Windshield washer fluid (except models 463.323) - Only the right wing.
- On models 463.246 (AMG) liberate, but do not disconnect the line hydrocorrector headlights.
- Release eight upper (16) and four front (17) of the wing bolts.
- Remove the bolts (18) securing the lining of the arch.
- Give nuts (12) securing wing to bulkhead engine compartment.
- Leaning forward, remove the wing - you can use the help of an assistant.
- Installation is in the reverse order.
