Removing and installing rear lid

1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable of the battery when the ignition is off. You must first remove the air filter box of the passenger compartment.

Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio security code, if any, address to Section Replacement of the battery.

2. Open the trunk and remove the warning sign from the holder.
3. Remove the tailgate trim, refer to the appropriate section.
4. Disconnect all cables on the cover.
5. Pull back on the wings facing the boot lid. If necessary, disconnect any retaining strap and remove the trim.
6. Mark the position of the wing-tip pen on the trunk lid.
7. Ask the assistant to hold the cover and unscrew the two screws on the left and right of the cover.
8. Remove the cover up of the bars on the wings, and place on a cushioned surface.

1. Insert the cover strip on the wings. Set Label cover.
2. Replace the two screws on the left and on the right, close the lid and set it by getting an even gap around the perimeter of fit.
3. Tighten the bolts to 8 nm.
4. Further installation is performed in reverse order of removal.
5. Connect the negative (-) cable to the battery when the ignition is switched off. Replace the cabin air filter box. Enter the code of the radio and set the time on the clock.

Check clearances on a contour fit covers. The values given in the specification.
