Removal and installation of the cylinder of the lock of the trunk and tailgate

1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable of the battery when the ignition is off. You must first remove the air filter box of the passenger compartment. Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio security code, if any, address to Section Replacement of the battery.
2. Remove the trim of the tailgate or trunk lid, refer to the appropriate section.
3. Disconnect the connector from the locking mechanism.
4. If necessary, remove the locking mechanism, refer to the appropriate section.
5. Remove the emergency key from the ignition, refer to Section Replacement battery ignition key / remote control.

6. Insert the emergency key into the lock and turn counterclockwise so that the slot (1) Show opening.

7. Insert the opening tool for material removal (2) to release the lock cylinder and remove it from the lock. A tool for material removal can be made independently of V2A wire diameter of 1.5 mm.

1. Insert the emergency key into the lock cylinder, turn counter-clockwise and slide the cylinder into the lock.
2. Turn the emergency key in a clockwise direction so that the cylinder locks.
3. Remove the emergency key from the ignition and insert the ignition key, refer to Section Replacement battery ignition key / remote control.
4. If necessary, install the locking mechanism, refer to the appropriate section.
5. Dock connector in the locking mechanism.
6. Replace the lid trim / tailgate, refer to the appropriate section.
7. Connect the negative (-) cable to the battery when the ignition is switched off. Replace the cabin air filter box. Enter the code of the radio and set the time on the clock.
